About Us
Chen-Yen Tsai studied Chemistry at Chung Yuan Christian University in Taoyuan from 2008 to 2011, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. He then joined the Department of Chemistry at National Chung Hsing University in Taichung, receiving his Ph.D. degree in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Chu-Chieh Lin.
After graduation, he joined Prof. Bao-Tsan Ko’s group as a postdoctoral scholar in 2016. In late 2017, he continued his postdoctoral research at Chung Yuan Christian University under Prof. Chia-Her Lin, where he focused on Solid State Chemistry.
In 2018, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Chinese Culture University. In 2021, he was promoted to Associate Professor. In August 2024, he joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at National Chung Cheng University.
Research
Our laboratory research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, and further testing during catalysis, green recycling for carbon dioxide and other related applications.
